The 2008 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond allocates $5-million for a program called the “Community Opportunity Fund”. This fund will allow park groups to partner with the Recreation and Parks Department on capital improvements in their park. At this moment, the program guidelines are still being developed, so it is crucial that park groups are aware of the discussion, and offer feedback on this exciting opportunity. At our August coalition meeting on August 19th, we’ll be discussing the progress of the program to date, and answer questions relating to its implementation. Start: 9:30 am
End: 9:00 pm
