I Love My Park: June 2009

Welcome to "I Love My Park", NPC's monthly column featuring interviews with people all over the city talking about the personal connections they feel to parks in San Francisco. If you are interested in appearing in this column in the future, please email us and tell us all the reasons why you love your park. To read the archive of past columns, click here.

This month: Chad Pajari, playing tennis at Alta Plaza Park on May 30th.  Interview and photo by NPC volunteer Joyce Pedersen.

What do you enjoy most about this park?
I enjoy playing tennis here.  The courts are kept in great condition, and the wall of shrubs blocks the wind well.  The courts also get great direct sun light.  The park is conveniently located near several good places to eat and/or drink after playing.

How often do you come to this park?
I've been here three times, all to play tennis.

What are a few improvements that you have for this park?
I'd like to see lights put in over the tennis courts which would allow for night play.

Any other comments?  This park is a hidden gem, and you can usually get a court without a long wait!
