Three outstanding park groups won awards at our 2007 Stewardship Awards luncheon! This year, NPC gave three $2500 prizes to Friends of Duboce Park (Outstanding Park Group Award), Garden for the Environment (Outstanding Environmental Achievement), and Friends of 24th Street Mini-Park (Outstanding Effort for a Capital Project). A special Youth Environmental Achievement Award was also granted to Lowell High School’s Adopt-A-Park Club for their beautification and cleanup work at Rolph-Nicol Park, adjacent to their school.
We were thrilled to have District 5 Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi present the awards at our third annual Stewardship Awards Luncheon and "Friendraiser" on Tuesday, May 22nd, at 12 PM, at the UCSF Mission Bay Conference Center. (1675 Owens Street - click here for a map.)
